Years in the travel industry: 24 years

Top destination: I have a few Bali for a great cheap getaway, Italy I love everything about it, New York because it’s a fantastic city, London for the same reason, The Kimberley’s because there’s nothing like it

Best beach: Too many some favorites are Whitehaven in Queensland, Broome WA.

Best shopping: USA- especially with the current exchange rate, China for great copies!

Worst travel experience: All my travelling has been fun even problems make great stories.

Best travel experience: Greek Islands with my girlfriends or a Caribbean cruise with my kids… can’t decide! Oh wait, shopping in New York or Paris… or Sailing the Whitsundays…

 

Kate Wright

Countries visited: UK, Europe (Contiki) Ireland, USA, Thailand, Malaysia, Bali, Vietnam, Turkey, Singapore, Hawaii, Fiji, Cruising through South Pacific and a small ship cruise in Fiji. Throughout Australia – I’ve been everywhere except Tasmania! Lots of experience in North Queensland!

Top destination: Turkey for the amazing history and Ireland for the fabulous people and scenery

Best beach: Isle of Pines in New Caledonia

Best shopping: Hawaii/USA for sure!

Worst travel experience: Getting sick in Asia

Best travel experience: My trip through Thailand and Vietnam – I saw so many fascinating sights but still stopped at a few beach areas to relax. The food in Vietnam was amazing too.

Countries visited: Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, USA (west coast), UK and Europe on a Contiki Tour including France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy. Fiji, Hong Kong, Bali

Years in the travel industry: 5 years

Top destination: Las Vegas- The shows, lights, shops, buffets. It’s sooo different to Adelaide.

Best beach: Sadly the best beaches I've seen are here in Australia.

Best shopping: USA- in particular the Las Vegas Outlets. It’s even better now with the strong Aussie Dollar.

Worst travel experience: I've been lucky so far and the worst thing was my luggage not making a connecting flight to New Zealand.

Best travel experience: Flying home business class from Malaysia and actually getting some decent sleep.

Years in the travel industry:  18 months

Top destination: Venice, love getting lost in Venice, it’s the best way to see it.

Best beach: 80 mile Beach, Western Australia. In low tide you can walk out for ages, it’s just brilliant – and the sunsets are amazing.

Best shopping: Greece, loved The Plaka Markets, amazing atmosphere.

Worst travel experience: On New Years Eve, 2007 while driving to Madrid from southern Spain our hire car broke down approximately 300km from the capital. The hire company were great and they organized a taxi to pick us up and take us to Madrid, but we spent a long time waiting in a little “roadhouse” and ending up spending New Years Eve in the back of a taxi, all my family were asleep by the time it struck midnight, so the taxi driver and I wished each other a happy New Year. Not quite what I had planned for big celebrations.

Best travel experience: Seeing my children’s faces when we walked into Disneyland
